The Bear House Studio is the working studio of artist Rob 'shoe' Glenesk.  He is well known for oil/acrylic paintings showing an above perspective with an indigenous theme. Sculpted stone horse heads completed by Rob are also available in his studio.   After showing throughout western Canada and the United States,  Rob has chosen to continue offering his work to the public at his studio at Silver Star Mountain.  The Bear House Studio is open Saturdays from 1 to 5 pm, by appointment or by chance.

Located on Main St next to Ski Dazzle, The Goody Box, offers your all-time favourite candy, scrumptious sweets, retro treats, and imported favourites, There is also a range of gifts for all ages, tastes, and budgets as well as novelties and games. The souvenir range is the biggest and the best on the hill with many items custom made and exclusive.

Locatedd on Main St. in the LOard Aberdeen Hotel, The Lord Aberdeen Market, is a full-service grocery and liquor store where you will find everything you need for your stay. There’s a large variety of fresh produce, meat and fish, locally baked goods, gifts such as Canadian maple syrup, locally made condiments and preserves, along with all the basics you need to cook a wholesome meal.
